I just finished the last Live Lian Huan Quan training with Damien and have a question to ask. Not exactly sure how to identify the movement I'm asking about it's about halfway through the form, we go to Jin Ji Du Li with the right elbow up, then crouch down and punch into our palm. Okay, my question is about the next movement, where we twist, jump into Ma Bu and punch. When exactly do we intend to land our punch? Do we twist and then jump and get all the way into Ma Bu before you punch or is the intent that the punch lands at the same time that you arrive in Ma Bu? The second option seems to make a little more sense to me because it would seem like the motion of your body twisting and jumping into Ma Bu would provide extra power that you'd want to put into your punch. Similar to the way that your heel, legs straight and hips straight - that snapping motion puts extra power into a Gong Bu punch, are we trying to use our body's motion for extra power so that our punch hits the target at the same time we land in Ma Bu?

Hi Brennan,

You are spot on. Try and complete all of the movement at the same time, so all of your limbs stop at the same time. If you can remain perfectly steady after you land you look extra cool too! ðŸ˜
